12 Days of Christmas Cleaning

Home & Organization

Way back in 2016 I created this cleaning schedule to help me get ready for the holidays each year. Although December is usually about all things Christmas, especially around here. However, this year we welcomed our newest granddaughter “Lollie” into the world on December 6th. She had a rocky delivery and arrival, but I was patiently waiting for her arrival at her house since Thanksgiving. While she is still to little for Mom, Dad and Big Brother Tater to want me to share her with all of you just yet, that day will come, soon I hope! One can never be to safe online nowadays anyway!

Fast forward to my at home arrival on 12/19/21 where I was greeted with a few products that have been sitting and waiting for my arrival. Thank goodness for family and house sitters, they have saved my bacon more times than I can count. While all of the above is are great topics, today we are going to talk about life and the messes that come with it!

So I decided an update of the 12 Days of Christmas Cleaning was in order and let’s not forget to mention, my newest “secret” weapon when it comes to cleaning for Christmas. Life can get messy at times, but why not turn that around and get organized? NIFTY™: Clean & Organized is here to help you do just that. It’s packed with tips and tricks, hacks, and broken down by rooms to keep you on task with organizing and cleaning. They have ideas on organizing everything from your kitchen drawers to your closets to your cleaning routine. Which is how I’ve managed to stay semi-sane this year is to stick to my cleaning routines.

This is the first book from the popular Buzzfeed NIFTY vertical, which features home and garden hacks, tricks and DIYs, and now NIFTY: Clean & Organized seeks to become the ultimate cleaning resource in every home.

While the advice is evergreen, the book will be a necessity this holiday season – it’s the perfect primer for getting your home ready to host the most aesthetic holiday party, and it’s an amazing gift for anyone looking to bring a little order to their space and start 2022 off on the right foot . This doesn’t sound fun at all – oh well, it’s important to have a clean house.

I wish I had had this idea instead of last minute dash because I forget to do something

This is such a good idea. I often get so overwhelmed with waiting until the last minute to clean!

I have to confess. This chart scares me, but it is very smart.

I need to do this, but I think I would have my daughter. She only has to clean her room and pick up after herself while schools in.

This is great! Printed it, I know I’m pretty bad with keeping up with the cleaning, but I do try to keep the kitchen and bathrooms clean.
