Comporta is one of Portugal’s hidden gems that have not been discovered by international tourists. This quiet and spectacular village is an hour from Lisbon. It is a paradise of solitude and tranquility. It boasts of amazing beaches, dense pine forests, rice paddies, rippling dunes, and so many other things.

It is no doubt that this village is a unique place where tourists can connect with nature and enjoy every moment. From fishing to ferry crossing and just sunbathing along the beaches, there are plenty of activities tourists can do in Comporta.

Of course, your holiday in Comporta can’t be complete without taking a walk in the rice paddies. And lastly, you can go horse riding through the rice paddies, along the beach at sunset, and over the dunes. Anyone can horse ride, regardless of their age or experience level.

Comporta’s weather is perfect, making it possible to visit this region all year round. The average temperature is 32°C in August, and it drops to 14°C in January. However, the best time to visit Comporta is in April, May, September, and October because the weather is warm and the village is not packed with tourists.
