5 Indoor Plants That Improve Overall Health and Wellness

Most of us are always looking for new (and old) methods to help keep us healthy. What many of us don’t realize, however, is that there are even healthy plants that we can keep in our homes that will benefit our overall wellness. The trick is learning which ones they are.

That’s where we come in!

In this article, we’re discussing some of the best indoor plants for health. Keep reading to learn more.

5 Healthy Plants That Improve Overall Wellness

One of the most common plants that wellness nuts grow is kratom. Follow this link to find out where to buy kratom. In the meantime, let’s discuss some of the more commonly found house plants that even simple gardeners can grow.

Staghorn Fern

Staghorn Fern helps in improving health as they purify the air by removing harmful toxins and producing oxygen, making the air cleaner and fresher. They can also add humidity to the environment, which can be beneficial for those with respiratory issues, particularly in dry indoor spaces. There are different varieties of Staghorn fern and all share the ability to purify the air by removing harmful toxins and producing oxygen. Additionally, taking care of plants, including staghorn ferns, can provide a calming and relaxing effect, reducing stress levels and promoting a more tranquil environment.

Peace Lily

The Peace Lily is one of the most famously kept plants for its namesake that indicates peace will be brought to the keeper. It’s also, however, an amazing plant that absorbs foreign compounds in the air and breaks them down. These compounds include benzene, formaldehyde, and the ever-dangerous carbon monoxide.

Boston Fern

The Boston Fern specifically is another air purifying plant and quite hardy. Boston ferns can do wonders in a home with cigarette smoke or plastics in the air. They’re easy to care for and beautiful, too.

Spider Plant

When you think about indoor plants for health, the Spider plant may not be the first one you think of. But, the truth is Spider plants specifically target air impurities in your homes such as formaldehyde and carbon monoxide.

The best part about keeping a Spider Plant is that they are exceptionally easy to care for.

English Ivy

Healthy plants for the home that also don’t often get recognized are English Ivy. English Ivy has been used for centuries to kill airborne mold particles that are known to trigger allergies. Even if you don’t have mold in your home, it can help you breathe easier with the air purification process that filters through its vines

Aloe Vera

One of the most popular indoor plants good for health is none other than the famous Aloe Vera succulent. Not only does it purify the air, but it also has a substantial amount of other healing properties. Use it on cuts and burns to help them heal faster and eliminate pain.

Caring for Healthy Indoor Plants

Healthy plants, of course, will only remain beneficial to your health if you keep them alive!

All of these plants with the exception of the Aloe Vera require moist soil at all times in order to thrive. You can mist the Aloe Vera about once or twice every other week.

Please be mindful that some houseplants are toxic and should be kept away from pets and children. No matter which plants you choose, make sure they are safe for the area of your home where you intend to keep them.
