5 Supplements a Bodybuilder Must Have

Health & Beauty

The summer might be over, but it doesn’t mean you should stop working on your beach body. After all, the sooner you start, the better the results will be. And to make sure you get the most out of your exercise and gain muscles, there are some rules you need to follow.

The first one is consuming more calories than you burn, getting more protein than you can break down, and, obviously, excessive exercise programs. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but meeting all of these criteria can be challenging. Fortunately, there are some “helpers” that will make it much easier. They’re called dietary supplements.

5 Supplements a Bodybuilder Must Have

They will maximize your efforts, allowing you to gain muscle faster and more efficiently. In the past few years, the market has become swamped with supplements, and picking the right ones is not a piece of cake, especially if you’re not experienced.

Fortunately, we’ve got you covered. Below you’ll find the list of five types of supplements that every bodybuilder must own. They come in different shapes and sizes, and they can be a part of a broader supplement spectrum. Read on:

Creatine

Creatine is a molecule that your body produces naturally. Its primary function is to provide energy for your muscles. And if you take it as a supplement, it can increase your muscle creatine level, even up to 40% (sic!).

Taking creatine will also help you recover faster between sets, allowing you to train longer and more excessively. By integrating supplements like private label 1000mg creatine gummies into your consistent workout routine, they will enhance muscle development and improve strength. But what about side effects? There aren’t any. Various studies have proven that taking creatine is entirely safe. Well, it is if you take it in recommended doses, of course.

In short, when it comes to supplements, creatine should be your first choice.

SARMs

SARMs, which stands for selective androgen receptor modulators, have become extremely popular over the last few years. More and more bodybuilders decide to try them out, and it’s easy to see why.

They allow you to build muscles more efficiently than any other supplement, and even though they’re formally steroids, they don’t have almost any side effects. And are SARMs legal? Yes, they are, even though they sound too good to be true.

Keep in mind that there are various types of SARMs, so it’s best to do some research before the purchase.

Protein

The rule is simple. Without protein, you can forget about growing muscles. Aside from that, its intake decreases body fat and speeds up recovery time allowing you to work out more. All that makes it a crucial part of every bodybuilder diet.

And yes, you can get protein from specific foods, but it’s less effective, and more importantly, more expensive. There are several types of protein, but the most popular are whey, casein, and soy. Each has its unique properties, so make sure you learn more about them before implementing them into your diet. Of course, it may be that you are limited by any allergies or specific dietary requirements you may have – for example, those who follow a vegan diet should look for vegan protein powder so that this does not conflict with their lifestyle.

Also, keep in mind that too much protein can be harmful to your body. That’s why if you have a high-protein diet, taking more is unnecessary.

Branched-Chain Amino Acids

Composed of three individual amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, and valine, branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) are crucial for effective muscle growth. They make up for almost 30% of your skeletal muscle protein and improve muscle gain while preventing its loss.

We all consume food rich in BCAAs. You can find them in meat, eggs, poultry, dairy, and fish. You can also take them in the form of supplements, you can only benefit from it, especially if your diet isn’t high in protein.

What’s more, if you take BCAAs before exercise, they will reduce muscle soreness and fatigue, speeding up your recovery process.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Omega-3 fatty acids are crucial for every bodybuilder. And do you know what the best source of them is? Fish oils. Various studies have shown that omega-3 fatty acids have several benefits when it comes to muscle soreness. In short, they speed up your recovery.

What’s more, if you combine them with BCAAs and carbs, fish oil intake will increase your protein synthesis, allowing your muscles to grow more efficiently. And yes, you can find them in seafood, but let’s be honest. Eating fish can get tedious and expensive.

Summary

And here it is; the list of crucial supplements you need to have if you want your bodybuilding process to be successful. As you can see, growing muscles doesn’t require an incredible amount of steroids or nutrients.

Keep in mind that the word supplement means an addition. The core of your muscle growth process is a workout and the right diet. Without these two factors, you’ll fail spectacularly.

Also, don’t forget to seek help from professionals. Bodybuilding is not easy, and you need to make sure you do it the right way. Invest in training sessions with a personal trainer and visit a dietitian who will help you develop an effective and healthy plan.
