6 Of the Best Birthday Party Ideas For 2022

Lifestyle

Birthday parties are the greatest, aren’t they? Having people come around to celebrate your birth is one of the best feelings in the entire world – and that’s not even counting the presents! It is such an honest expression of love and care, as long as they’re not just there for the cake.

Since COVID-19 hit us, we’ve been so limited in what we can or can’t do and our movements have been so restricted that we’ve all basically spent almost the last 2 years indoors and keeping to our close circle of friends. Although the pandemic is still very much ongoing, we have found ways around things as we learn more about how the virus works.

If you’re having a milestone birthday this year, or someone you love is, this article will give you 6 of the best party ideas imaginable to make the 2022 party the best one yet! One of the best things you can do for any party is to hire a professional event photographer to capture memories that will last a lifetime.

1. Themes

Theme parties just never get old. With thousands of themes to choose from, including everything from music to cartoon characters, you cannot go wrong with choosing your favorite theme.

Themes help your guests to decide what to wear. They can also completely transform a party. You must spend some time considering your options because a lot will ride on that decision – such as food and decorations.

2. Disco Parties

If you’re planning a birthday party for a teenager, disco parties are always a crowd-pleaser. Hire a professional DJ and transform your living room into a mini nightclub (sans alcohol, of course).

You can hire bubble machines or smoke machines, and put up disco lights and strobes to help encourage the shy guests to let loose and dance a little.

3. Pajama Parties

Who doesn’t love a good girl’s night in? Even though we’ve all practically spent the better part of two years being stuck inside, pajama parties are always such fun. Be super girly about it too, do your nails, and watch romantic movies, do facials – all while you all munch on your favorite snacks.

No PJ party is complete without tons of pillows and comfy blankets, so make sure you have ample enough to go around so that none of your guests are left out in the cold. You can still put up decorations, your choice of balloons, streamers, and confetti will bring your pajama party to life!

4. Kids Parties

Children’s parties are the most fun to plan because you can pull out all of the stops and create something that they couldn’t even have dreamed of. Children’s parties are all about the jumping castles and other inflatables so hire as many as your yard will allow and then get yourself an air blower for commercial inflatables – they blow things up much faster than the home-use ones.

You do need to be careful when planning the menu for parties, especially children’s parties. The last thing anyone wants is a trip to the Emergency Room, especially that child’s parents. Avoid potential lawsuits by asking for dietary requirements beforehand.

5. Art Parties

Art parties are all the rage this year because they give children and adults an outlet for their creative spirits. Choose from a range of creative and arty projects like candle making, cupcake decorating, or even necklace-making – or a combination of all of the above.

These parties keep their guests entertained for longer by giving them something to do. The best part is that they will have a keepsake from your party to remind them of it for years to come.

6. Summer Garden Parties

This one is perfect for the July babies out there! We all love spending time outdoors in the sunshine, so why not turn it into a birthday event? You can hire tables and chairs and string lights up in your backyard to set the mood.

Summer is all about light and happiness so keep the decorations cheerful and the games entertaining. Lawn games are the best for summer garden parties so invest in giant Jenga and lawn darts as soon as possible – these games will sell out quickly in the summer.

Be sure to provide your guests with insect repellent to keep their wrists and ankles safe from mosquitos and their plates of food protected from the flies.

To End

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to plan the perfect party. If you just relax and take some time to breathe, the ideas will come flowing to you. Set yourself a realistic budget and hire a party planner if you think you’re going to cave under the pressure. Most of all, have fun!
