A Dog’s Journey
Picking up where A Dog’s Purpose left off, A Dog’s Journey continues the tale of a lovable farm dog, Bailey, as he finds a new destiny and forms an unbreakable bond, and learns that some friendships transcend lifetimes. The film stars Dennis Quaid, Marg Helgenberger, Betty Gilpin, Kathryn Prescott, and Henry Lau, as well as Josh Gad as the voice of Bailey.
A few years ago we had the chance to get a pup that was a “grandson” of our original dog Sadie, and we thought Biscuit would be our forever dog. While we still have Diesel, we had a special spot in our hearts and our home for Biscuit and he was with me for some really dark times. I’ve not put any of that on my blog or social media, but 2016-2017 were rough years. Biscuit helped me have something to live for in a lot of ways, and while I still am not able to put it all out there for everyone to read I just want to say that dog’s really do have a journey all of their own.

Just when things started to come around for us on a personal and family level our Biscuit was taken from us in the blink of an eye. He had been outside for just a few minutes, before Brady got home (just like any other day of the week), and when Brady got home I knew something was wrong. He had been hit, and left to die along side the road, the part that made it even worse, was I was in the house when it happened. It was a very bad injury and he wouldn’t have survived, so I am thankful that he didn’t suffer, but the loss was one that was really hard for us to both get over.
We fittingly buried Biscuit next to his “Grandma Sadie” and still think to this day Sadie came back to us as Biscuit a lot like in the movie. While I don’t want to ruin it for you, I want to encourage you to pick up your copy today and enjoy this heartwarming film.
