I’m a certified elementary teacher by trade turned blogger/writer/photographer about 8years ago. For the past eight years, I’ve been sharing my adventures on Save More Spend Less with Heidi but at the end of 2015, I rebranded to Life with Heidi.
I still love a good deal, but life changes and with those changes usually comes a few hurdles. Overcoming those hurdles in life is how we as a person are molded and the more we embrace it the better off we will be. “Life with Heidi” was born to embrace those life changes and keep on keeping on. Life is short but the one thing that 2015 taught me is that “the most important things in life aren’t things.” Which carried right into 2016 where we found ourselves, unexpected Empty Nesters. We have since embraced the changes but let me tell you, it wasn’t easy.
Fast forward to 2019 and we now have two websites Life with Heidi and Destination Midlife.

My family consists of our only daughter Elizabeth who is 21, married to Austin and now has a family of her own. Little “Tator” as we call him online is quickly growing up into a little boy right before our very eyes.
My husband Brady works for a company driving a truck once again. Our empty nest now only has the two of us and a spoiled rotten dog Diesel, who is a Red Heeler. We are just the average family working, going to school and enjoying country living.
I’m a photographer, writer, blogger as well as mom and a Nan (grandma) so I wear lots of heats, but wouldn’t have it another way.
One of the things that I love to do is travel with the family and without. I seem to be heading somewhere about once a month which is always fun and allows me to see lots of great things. We love to spend time together as a family and help each other reach our goals one step at a time. One of my goals is to visit all 50 states by 2021.
