How to Get Back into the Swing of Things After Thanksgiving
The holidays seem to approach so quickly, especially Thanksgiving. I know you and I are both super busy getting things ready for the holidays. I wanted to share some ways you can recover from Thanksgiving and get back into the swing of things. Holidays can take a lot out of you, but with these tips you’ll be able to recover.
Take a Nap
One of my favorite things to do after a long holiday is to take a nap. You know, give my body time to rest and recuperate. Having all of our friends and family over can take a toll on my body, so I take time to rest and regroup. It’s always a good idea and I cannot think of a time I regretted taking a nap.
Movie Day
I think the day after Thanksgiving is also a great idea to cuddle up and have a movie day. The kids can pick a few movies they want to watch and I can just relax. There are some awesome movies out this year and I look forward to catching up.
Leftover Day
One of the best things about Thanksgiving and how I love to recover from all of that cooking is to enjoy the fruit of my labor. Leftovers are single handedly the best part of the day after Thanksgiving. I know my family enjoys having leftovers. What about yours?
Recovering from Thanksgiving is necessary. You have to take time to regroup before you can move onto all of the Christmas shopping ahead. I love Thanksgiving and Christmas and I think the time in between is great. Now that Thanksgiving is done and over with, I look forward to shopping and wrapping gifts. In a year that we have so much to be thankful for, I’m extra thankful I have time to regroup before the next holiday rolls around.
