Angry Apple Cupcake Recipe
Angry Apple is one of my all time favorite alcoholic beverages and I love baking so this recipe is a win, win. It gives cupcakes a unique twist that makes them even more yummy! The recipe could easily be modified to include other alcoholic beverages of your choice, or milk if you prefer non-alcoholic. Try them out today and let me know how yummy your cupcakes were!
Cupcakes
2 cups Flour
3/4 cups Granulated sugar
3/4 tea Baking soda
1 1/2 tea Cinnamon
1/2 tea Nutmeg
1/2 tea Cloves
2 TBSP. Ground ginger
1 TBSP All spice
3/4 tsp. Salt
3/4 cup Brown sugar
8 Tbls. Butter ( room temp )
1/4 cup Angry Apple Cider
½ cup milk
2 Eggs
Buttercream
2 sticks unsalted butter (room temp)
3 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup caramel sundae topping
2 tbsp of Angry apple cider
3 3/4 cups powder sugar
Cupcake Directions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Line cupcake pans with cupcake liners
Blend all dry ingredients in a large bowl until well incorporated
Using a second bowl mix eggs, cider, buttermilk and butter at low speed
Slowly begin to add all dry ingredients to wet ingredients mixing on medium.
Once all ingredients are combined beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
Add batter to cupcake pans filling to 2/3 of the way full
Bake 18-21 minutes until a toothpick inserted in center of the cupcake comes out clean of batter
Let cool for 15 minutes.
Remove cupcakes and cool completely before frosting
Buttercream Frosting
Add the butter in the bowl of an electric or stand mixer.
Add the vanilla, salt, Angry apple cider and caramel mix on medium for several minutes
Begin adding in the sugar and mixing thoroughly after each addition.
Continue to mx until frosting begins to form peaks and is well combined
