Want to hear one of my favorite recipes of all time? Apple Nachos! It’s such an easy and delicious treat to have. Honestly, after a long week of work, sometimes all I want is to sit down to something sweet. Apple Nachos are like a middle ground where healthy and not-so-healthy meet. There is no doubt in my mind that you will enjoy these Apple Nachos just as much as I do on a weekly basis.
Apples, they are one of my all time favorite snacks and when you add chocolate, nuts and snickers candy it takes them to an all new level of deliciousness. And they are the perfect snack for after school, while watching movies, or even just a treat after a long week. But you can always find caramel, apples and chocolate in our house so this recipe is a keeper.
3 apples (I used 2 red Fuji and 1 green)
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
1/4 cup nut topping
1 cup miniature candy bars – unwrapped and sliced in half I used Snickers®
1. Slice and core 3 apples (leave skin on) and place in a mixing bowl. Toss with lemon juice.
2. Transfer the apples to a serving platter. Generously drizzle caramel topping all over the apples.
3. Next, sprinkle the nut topping and chocolate chips on top of the fruit.
4. Lastly, top your apple nachos off with the halved miniature Snickers® candy bars.
5. Serve immediately.
6. YUM! ENJOY!
