Apple Pumpkin Stamps Craft for Kids

Apple Pumpkin Stamps Craft for Kids is the perfect craft idea for kids of all ages. It is fun to do and even more fun for the parents to receive especially if you make the stem a thumbprint. You can even pick up frames at local garage sales, thrift stores or even the local Dollar Tree to make it special for the parents. But when our Lizzie was little our refrigerator was full of things like this and I couldn’t bear to throw them away. Keeping them in a frame makes it easier to display their work year after year. Which is always fun to see how much they change year after year and when they leave the nest they can take a few with them to help decorate their own house and you have some to keep as well. It is a win, win for me.
Supplies needed:
Apples
Orange craft paint
paint brush
White craft paper
Green craft paint
Paper towel
Knife
Directions:
1. Cut your apple down the center and remove any seeds you see. Use the paper towel to dab the inside of the apple and dry up any moisture. This will help the paint adhere well.
2. Apply a thin coat of orange craft paint to the inside of the apple. Press it firmly to the paper and remove, leaving the pumpkin shape.
3. Repeat, creating as many pumpkin impressions as you wish. Allow the paint to dry.
4. Add some green craft paint to fingertips. Make fingertip impressions at the top of the apple for the stem. Allow to dry.
5. You can repeat and make as many of these pumpkins as you wish. Allow to dry and then you are free to display! Please share your tips tricks and finished projects. We love to see how creative our readers are.

This turned out to be really cute. This could be used from fall through thanksgiving. I will have to keep this in mind in the event I need to come up with a craft.
