Each day of the year passes just as quickly as the next one the older I get. But what I didn’t realize until I started blogging is that each day usually has a food holiday to celebrate!
Bologna Day is celebrated each year on October 24th! Bologna is a lunchtime staple for many across the United States but today bologna lovers have reason to celebrate! It is National Bologna Day or “baloney” whichever way you prefer to call it. Bologna is made with chicken, pork, or turkey and is commonly smoked with spices to add to it’s flavor. Americans eat 800 Million slices of bologna each year. There are lots of different forms of bologna, but this is one holiday I will be setting out, as bologna is on my, “I don’t like it list.”
Is this a food holiday you will be celebrating?
