Bouqs Flowers from the Base of a Volcano

Bouqs Flowers from the Base of a Volcano is a unique service and one that I was lucky enough to get to get to work with. They sent me a $40 gift code in exchange for this post so I could order flowers just like a customer would when they visited their site. The hard part was deciding what flowers to order, so I let my mom decide which flowers she would enjoy while being in the hospital.

Call me old fashioned, but there isn’t anything much better than a bouquet of fresh flowers delivered to brighten your day, especially when you are in the hospital. When I ordered them it took under 5 minutes to actually place the order, but when I looked at the delivery date I looked at it wrong. It had predicted a delivery date of August 19th instead of what I thought I read which was August 12. No worries, the order was placed so I contacted Bouqs to find out that I would have to pay a $15 forwarding fee to get them to reroute my package. We decided not to do that but that I could just place another order and hope that the patient who is now in my moms room would enjoy the flowers.

Fast forward a few days and my mom and I were talking on the phone. She told me to hold on that the FedEx driver was trying to make a delivery, but that she didn’t expect any packages so she would be right back. I could hear her explaining to the driver what a miracle getting these flowers really was because they were delivered to the hospital. So after doing a little bit of research we learned that one of the nurses mom had while in the hospital went above and beyond her call of duty to make sure my mom got the flowers. The best part was that FedEx didn’t charge anything for the second delivery so it all worked out the way it was supposed too.

The above video is from the Bouqs founder who has a sense of humor which is always helpful. After researching on the Bouqs site I learned that they only cut the flowers that they sell. This is one way of guaranteeing fresh flowers for each delivery as well as being an Eco-Friendly company. They even offer living wages, childcare, healthcare and adult education to help their surrounding communities.
Their prices fit into almost anyone’s budget as well, so that is another great thing about shopping at Bouqs. I can’t wait to order some more flowers for myself so I can enjoy them!! But don’t just take my word for it,  this month be sure to send your own unique Boug of flowers to someone special.
