Boxtrolls Movie Review
THE BOXTROLLS released in theaters on September 26, 2014. But is just now making it’s arrival on Blu-Ray for the whole family to enjoy. This family will have your heart from early in the movie because The Boxtrolls take an orphaned boy in and raise him in the streets of Cheesebridge. Eggs teams up with Winnifred to save The Boxtrolls and become the perfect duo to get the job done.
I will admit though, at first while watching this cute movie that I couldn’t get into the story line itself, for a few minutes. But once the story gained momentum I was sad to see it end. I don’t want to be a spoiler but, this is one film you will want to watch with the whole family!

Story: A family event movie from the creators of “Coraline” and “ParaNorman” that introduces audiences to a new breed of family – The Boxtrolls, a community of quirky, mischievous creatures who have lovingly raised an orphaned human boy named Eggs (voiced by Isaac Hempstead-Wright) in the amazing cavernous home they’ve built beneath the streets of Cheesebridge. When the town’s villain, Archibald Snatcher (Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley), comes up with a plot to get rid of the Boxtrolls, Eggs decides to venture above ground, “into the light,” where he meets and teams up with fabulously feisty Winnifred (Elle Fanning). Together, they devise a daring plan to save Eggs’ family.
