Brandied Fruit Day
Brandied Fruit Day is celebrated each year on October 2oth each year across the United States. Brandied fruit is definitely an acquired taste, but it a great way to preserve seasonal produce. In order to brandy your fruit all you have to do is get a quart jar, fill it half way with brandy. Then add in your peeled, sliced and clean fruit, then pour 1/6 cup of sugar over each cup of fruit you add. Add more brandy to the top to ensure fruit is covered, then seal your containers. Place your containers in a cool dry and dark spot and it will be cured in a couple months.
