Burlap Pumpkin Pencil Holder
This Halloween inspired Burlap Pumpkin Pencil Holder is a unique way to add just a little Halloween spirit to your desk. It takes only a few supplies and is ready to go in minutes which is something that I love. You could even make up some for your child’s teacher to use on their desk. The possibilities are endless with this neat craft and if you wanted you could even take the “face” off and use it throughout Thanksgiving as well.
Supplies needed:
Orange burlap or fabric
Black craft foam or fabric
Scissors
Hot glue, glue gun
Tin can or glass jar ( I found this tin at Dollar Tree)
Directions:
1. Place your jar or can on its side so you can roll the fabric up around it. Roll the fabric over the can so it is covered. You could even use a clean/dry canned good can to make this project even more frugal!
2. Tuck the top portion of fabric into the jar or can. Secure with glue.
3. Repeat underneath the jar or can, cutting off extra fabric and adhering it to the bottom of the piece so it is clean and can stand flat.
4. Cut your jack-o-lantern face out of the black fabric or foam and stick on with glue.
Add pencils, pens, straws, silverware, or anything else you need storage for around the house, office or classrom. That’s it! Isn’t that an easy craft? Make up one for yourself and be sure to share your finished results with us! I’m always glad to see everyone’s finished craft projects!!
Happy crafting!
