For one thing, it can save you a ton of money. After all, they are going to be priced a lot cheaper than an item you are going to buy brand-new from the store. And as the item has already been used, they won’t charge as much for the item. But a lot of the time, it can be just as good as something you can buy from the store. When my son was younger I would give him a budget of $10.00 to spend on a birthday gift for his friend(s). He figured out that he could find a really nice gift for his friend for LESS THAN THE TEN dollars and then use the remaining balance to purchase a gift for himself!!! I have to say that even though this was not the original lesson I was trying to teach, he was very resourceful and content with his purchases!!!
