Candy Day
Happy Candy Day!! With all of the left over Halloween candy you are probably thinking, what in the world am I going to do with it all. Well, here are a few frugal tips, candy recipes and other goodies to help you celebrate Candy Day.
- Save some of the candy for Christmas Stockings, Christmas goody bags and so on. Kids don’t need all the candy they get on Halloween so each year my siblings and I divide it up evenly between the families. Then we take out some of the chocolate and other select candies to add to stockings. This way we get “free” stocking fillers each year.
- Make apple salad with apples, cool whip and bite sized snickers bars in it. Carol Leeper made this for church dinners and it is still one of my all time favorites.
- Andes candy Cake is always a hit at our house. Make this delicious cake for a treat today!
- Grab this FREE Homemade candy #Recipe book!
- Chocolate Covered Pretzels are a type of homemade candy, so save the recipe for the upcoming holidays!
But no matter what you decide to do with your yummy candy remember to eat a piece of candy in celebration of this great food holiday!!
