Car Detailing Tips and Tricks

Have you wanted to detail your vehicle, but weren’t sure how? I have been wanting to do this for my vehicle for a while, so I naturally did some research on the matter. Detailing your car doesn’t mean spending lots of money, it means making your car look good while staying on budget. We all know how important vehicle maintenance is, but cleaning the inside is just as important.

Start with the inside

When you’re detailing your car, start with the inside. Get all the trash and clutter out, then you can start with the cleaning process. I like to let the kids help clean out the car with the first round. After all, it’s usually their stuff and it saves me a lot of time because I don’t have to make as many trips. Use a vacuum from home

Believe it or not, you don’t have to use a commercial vacuum for your car, you can use your own vacuum. I have found that my own vacuum works better than a commercial vacuum. Invest in a long orange extension cord, it will be a lifesaver when you’re trying to detail your vehicle.

Clean the outside

I like cleaning the outside of my vehicle last. This helps ensure I don’t have to worry about anything on the inside of the vehicle. I find it quite therapeutic to wash the outside of my car. It also saves money when you do it yourself.

• The best way to wash your car is a hand wash because then you can get everything cleaned.
• After you clean your vehicle, you will notice how clean and shiny it really is.
• Doing a quick polish on your vehicle will help to lock in the shine after all your hard work.
• Soap and water is the perfect way to clean your vehicle, just make sure you rinse well.

Splurge at the Dealership

Many Dealerships have some fabulous specials that include detailing. Always ask your local dealership if they have this kind of package deal. The more you save on your automotive care, the longer the vehicle will last you.
