Chatting with Alex Geringas and Rachel Crow
One of our other stops while on the Dreamworks campus was the Recording Studio to interview and chat with Alex Geringas and Rachel Crow. We don’t know who the boov’s are, but Oh is the perfect alien. He allows Tip to grow and Oh to grow because it is a real friendship and is so authentic. Tip and Oh are the outcasts that are different from everyone else, but it will allow kids to see themselves in the character which will cause them to fall in love with the characters.
Rachel wrote a theme songs and then recorded it within a few hours with her own recording studio albums. Artist 1, second an actress, but she finally decided that Rachel is Tip and Tip is Rachel because it is just her and her heart. But they worked with Alex to perfect it all so that they are the perfect pair. Rachel jokes that Tip is a lot more sassy than she is, but playing a character that is a lot like yourself is kind of challenging. Tip is a little more tom boyish than Rachel, but through the series she is growing up in front of the viewers eyes. It is a very special and real with some adult humor throw in, making it the perfect family show.

Life on earth will never be the same!
Picking up where the hit 2015 animated film left off and building upon their enduring friendship, this coming-of-age buddy comedy follows fearless Tip and overenthusiastic Oh, as they navigate the crazily combined human and alien culture they live in, finding adventure everywhere they go. The series will also include tons of memorable and toe-tapping original music that highlight Rachel Crow’s extraordinary vocal talents.

Developed by Ryan Crego (Sanjay and Craig, Shrek Forever After) and Thurop Van Orman (The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack), the series is executive produced by Ryan Crego.
The first season will be available exclusively to Netflix members in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux and France beginning July 29.
In addition to HOME: ADVENTURES WITH TIP & OH, Netflix will launch several new original series in partnership with DreamWorks Animation in 2016. Along with a reimagining of pop culture phenomenon Voltron, also comes Trollhunters from master storyteller Guillermo del Toro, who will unleash a new, fantastical world centered on two best friends and the startling discovery made beneath their hometown.
