Christmas Storage Solutions
Christmas Storage Solutions are easy to come up with if you think outside of the box. There are lots of cute organizing bins out there as well but I like to try to reuse things where I can. So I use large Rubbermaid storage boxes and other smaller boxes, egg cartons, and newspapers to store mine. However, mine are all stored away for the time being and we decorate our tree with our daughter’s ornaments. We have bought her a box of ornaments each year since she has been born and it is something we all look forward too.
So we use her ornaments each year and we have a beautifully decorated tree! We have saved the boxes they ornaments through the years have came in and reinforced them with packaging tape to make them a little stronger. We pick up cheap Christmas tins after the holidays and use those to store a few glass ornaments in with tissue paper (that came out of gifts) around it to cushion them. Egg cartons work great as well for those ornaments that fit, but I never have very good luck finding ornaments that will “fit” into them. Our artificial tree goes back into the box and each year I re-tape it shut. Then, I put it up in the attic till it is needed the next year.
Another great storage solution I’ve also used is oatmeal containers. My oatmeal containers are used to store Christmas lights that I wrap up around my hand and place right down into the container.
What storage solutions do you have for the Christmas decorations?
