Having my very own tour of the Dreamworks Animation Voice Over Studio was like a dream come true for me. I’ve always wanted to do a voice over and the day had finally arrived. I knew going into it that it would either be easy as pie, or challenging to do but either way the excitement I had for this glorious day was nothing short of amazing.

When we walked into the studio we were greeted by the Executive Producers Ron Burch and David Kidd who poured their heart and souls into DinoTrux! They made us feel at home in the recording studio explained to us how and when to start reading the script. The screen on the our right was the actual video of the animation and when it was just the right time you “read” what was highlighted on the script. Now, you would think that just counting and reading would be rather easy. And it was, well sort of because the first time I read it, I completely missed the “You”. We got a good chuckle and after a few encouraging words from them both it was time for take two.

Now, the second time out of the gate I wasn’t as bad, but I still cut off part of the you…I think it was because I just delayed a little bit, but they always say the third time is the charm. And it was! Even though it was just a few sentences it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that showed me how hard voice over animation really is. Check out me voicing Revvit (who just happens to be one of my favorite characters!)

DinoTrux is the perfect blend of construction items being combined together with dinosaurs taking on things as a team to solve their problems. This must watch new series starts with a catchy new opening that kids of all ages will love. Be sure to tune in on August 14th to catch all of the must watch action!
