Dipped Pretzels for Valentine’s Day

Dipped Pretzels for Valentine's Day

Dipped Pretzels for Valentine’s Day were one of my fun projects this last week. This is an old classic, that we always enjoy no matter what the holiday is and making them “themed” is very easy! I picked up the pretzel sticks at our local Aldi store, as well as Wilton Red Chocolate that was marked down after Christmas. So I ended up paying less than $1 for 2 bags of chocolate, which is always nice. Then the sprinkles we had on hand from last year’s Valentine’s Day.

For these yummy treats I  melted  my red chocolate in a pint jar that was placed into hot water. (Making my own double broiler so to speak) But you can melt it in either a microwave safe bowl in the microwave or in a double boiler on the stove.

Then, I held the jar in my left hand, and dipped the pretzel sticks in and then turned the jar one way and the pretzel stick the other. I then, but the jar back into the hot water, and then helped the chocolate go farther down on the pretzel stick until I was happy with how it was coated. After that I placed the chocolate covered sticks onto a sheet pan that was covered in parchment paper.

I then sprinkled them with sprinkles and let them set up on their own. After they were dry I put them into a jar for serving and we enjoyed eating them! These are the perfect snack for Valentine’s Day parties, desserts or any snacks this holiday season. You could even dip them in white chocolate, mix red and white to get pink or do red.

You could even get the kids into the kitchen and teach them how to make these yummy snacks!
