Disney’s Planes is Flying into Theaters!

Planes - Film Clip "Dusty Meets El Chupacabra"

Disclosure:  I  attended the #‎DisneyPlanesPremiere‬ and ‪#‎LittleMermaidEvent‬. My flight, lodging and expenses were all covered by Disney. However,  all opinions are my own.

Disney’s Planes is Flying into Theaters! Today is a special day for Cars fans because the next adventure is just as good if not better than the first. Disney’s Planes is making its way into theaters nationwide today (August 9, 2013). I was lucky enough to be invited to the Hollywood Premiere of the Planes event and fell in love with the characters starting in the Target Landing Zone.

The major characters include Dusty the Crophopper (Dane Cook), Dottie (Teri Hatcher), Skipper (Stacey Keach), and El Chupacabra (Carlos Alazraqui). Let’s not forget a host of other great characters that made the story line fantastic! Each character played an important role in this amazing film and made you feel a part of the story line throughout the movie.

We saw Disney’s Planes movie in 3D at the El Capitan Theater and the animation was amazing. There were several times during the movie I felt like I was flying in the planes right along with the characters. Dusty the Crophopper has big dreams of flying high, winning races and becoming a champion. But everyone tells him he can’t until the old fighter pilot jet Skipper finally gives in after lots of convincing to help him live his dream. During the race he took time to help other characters which cost him that “part” of the race but really and truly he was winning and didn’t realize it. I don’t want to be a spoiler and tell you everything that happens in Planes which is an amazing movie, but I believe that Dusty the Crophopper is really going to be the modern day, “Little Engine that Could.”

Disney's Planes is Flying into Theaters!

Planes by Disney is a romantic, whimsical, adventurous, and packed full of action film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The movie is rated PG but there wasn’t anything offensive in the movie in my opinion just a great blend of humor for children and adults alike. Another must watch Disney film and we are going as a family this weekend!!

Check out Disney’s Flew Tube that has lots of great items including: Planes trailers and clips, Paper Airplane directions, A place where you can meet the characters, Planes inspired food and so  much more!!

lanes director Klay Hall comes from a family immersed in aviation with a father and grandfather who were pilots in the armed forces. In this touching clip he shares his passion for flying vintage planes with his own two sons.
