*I received some promotional items in order to host a movie night, however all opinions are 100% my own.
This summer has been nothing short of crazy, but one thing is for certain it has flown right by. Way back in June we held a Zootopia Under The Stars Movie night and gave you some tips on how to create the perfect Summer Movie Night. Then as the summer progressed I’ve been on a couple press trips, sprained my ankle, been on a no weight bearing restriction and finally got the all clear after two months of hobbling around like a crazy lady. But that is a story for another day! So then I wanted to do a Jungle Book Movie Night as well as an Adventures in Babysitting Night Retro 80’s night but life happened. Mother Nature decided to bless us with a HOT summer and let’s not forget about the tornadoes and of course rainfall totals that are beyond absurd. But finally the stars aligned (literally) and we were able to have a Jungle Book Movie Night with a Retro 80’s flare.
Setting up for a movie night is easier than I ever dreamed possible for the most part. We invited family over had a weinee roast and to watch The Jungle Book. But then I decided to pull out the 80’s gear and make it a combined party. So I pulled out the folding table, the saw horses and a new piece of countertop I happened upon and a small desk because I needed just a little more space. Then, I covered them up and made them 80’s Retro!
Didn’t it turn out adorable?? I LOVED that is was super easy and gave me more room for all of the goodies. There was just a little difference in height between the two which really works to my advantage later. Then, we got busy adding items to the tables, food and of course a few more 80’s decorations.
We served grilled hot dogs, chips, slices of watermelon, Baloo Tea and Mowgli Juice and chocolate rice crispy treats. We kept it super simple and the decorations added to the the great night of spending time with family and friends while hanging out in the front yard. Pick up your copy of The Jungle Book today and have your own movie night.
