Donald and Daisy Inspired Ornaments
Donald and Daisy Inspired Ornaments are our next ornaments in the Disney Themed Ornaments. This year our families decided to do homemade gifts instead of store bought, so our daughter and I have been busy crafting lots of Disney themed ornaments for you to enjoy. Some of the ideas we had include: Frozen, Pluto, Toy Story, The Lion King, Tinkerbell, Minnie Mouse, The Little Mermaid and several more! So be sure you following along for the next few weeks for new Disney themed ornaments.
Supplies:
-Clear Glass Ornaments
-White paint
-Navy paint
-Red, White, Yellow, and Purple paint Pens
-Purple Ribbon for Bow
-Ribbons for hanging
-Hot Glue
Directions:
-Begin by coloring your ornaments their base colors. In order to do this, pour a good amount of paint into the ornament and swirl it around until it has completely covered the surface of the ornament. You will use White paint for Daisy’s Ornament, and Navy for Donald’s.
-Next, Place your ornament upside down on a cup, or something like this in order to allow the excess paint to drip out and the ornament to dry completely. This could take up to a few hours.
-Now to start with Daisy, Take your purple paint and draw a purple ruffle shape around the top of the ornament to represent Daisy’s ruffled purple dress she always wears.
-Take a piece of purple ribbon and tie it into bow, hot glue that to the top of the ornament to represent Daisy’s bow she’s always wearing.
-Finish her off with a purple ribbon for hanging
-Now for Donald, First you are going to use your white paint pen and color the bottom half of the ornament white, this will make him look like a white duck, with a navy top. Just like Donald wears.
-For his clothing, you are going to draw his signature red bow first and then of course his yellow suspenders.
-Finish him off with a blue ribbon to hang him and you are good to go!
Who is your favorite Disney character? Mine would have to be Mickey Mouse because after all without Mickey there would be no Disney! 🙂
