Dragon Snot from Dragons Race to the Edge

Dragon Snot from Dragons Race to the Edge

In honor of Dreamworks Animation’s Newest release Dragons: Race to the Edge I decided it would be fun to put together everything you need for a fun Dragons: Race to the Edge Party! While I tried to be creative it isn’t always the easiest thing for me, so I came up with some fun ideas for the kids as did a few of my blogger friends. So today I’m sharing with you Dragon Snot because what kid doesn’t love to play with slimy snot!

Supplies

2 Tablespoons Borax

1 1/2 cup water

Small mixing bowl

Medium mixing bowl

1 bottle of glue (I used the cheapest glue I could find and it worked perfectly!)

Spoon

Jelly Jar for storing your Dragon Snot (with lid)

Food coloring (I used Green, but you could easily make it other colors)

Glitter

Directions:

In your small mixing bowl mix one cup of water and the 2 Tablespoons of Borax. Stir them together until they are well blended and set it to the side.

In the medium sized mixing bowl dump the contents of one bottle of glue, and then add in the remaining 1/2 cup of water. Stir well until it is blended nicely. Then, add your food coloring I added 6 drops of green to make it the shade shown. Then, I dumped in what I thought would be enough glitter.

Next comes the fun part! Mix the small bowl’s contents into the medium sized bowl and mix until it solidifies. Then I put it into the jelly jar and sat it on the counter overnight. The next morning it had soaked up all of the liquid and I decided to add more glitter into the mix. I played with the snot until it was all evenly spread out, and put it back into the jar for storage.

As you can see it is very slimy and of course glittery and the color is green to greenish blue depending on the Lighting. But it will be fun for kids of all ages and the perfect goody bag favor for your DreamWorks Dragons party! Switch to plastic jars to lower your cost for the goody bags!
