Easy Pumpkin Craft

Who is ready for a little bit of crafting fun this Halloween? I SO AM! I love crafting. I put together this Easy Pumpkin Craft because I knew it would be a ton of fun for my family and yours to do. I have always enjoyed crafting, from the time I was a little girl. If you put Halloween and crafting together, it’s like the perfect hobby for me!

Easy Pumpkin Craft

I’m telling you, if you’re anything like me, then this craft will be super easy for you! I’m all about simplicity.

Supplies needed:
Wood plaque, square
Orange craft paint
paint brush
Twigs (optional)
Hot glue, glue gun
Green pipe cleaner

Directions:
1. Begin by applying two coats of orange paint to your wood plaque. Let coats dry well in between applications. There is no need for any kind of top coat.
2. Take a twig and add some glue to the end. Press to the top of the wood plaque. Hold in place until dry and secure. This step is optional.
3. Twist green pipe cleaners around your finger or a pencil to make spirals. These will be the vines of your pumpkin. Add a dab of glue to the ends and press to the top or back of the plaque.

4. Your wood pumpkin is now ready to be displayed. You can display as is. You can create set of these pumpkins in various colors and display together as well.

Please be sure to share your finished project. It is great for Fall, Halloween and even Thanksgiving. If you want to make it more Halloweenish (I’m not sure that is a word.) Just paint a Jack-O-Lantern face on it or use some of the Halloween Pumpkin Stencils to make it even more unique. Either way you go it will be a hit. I’m thinking about making a Thanksgiving themed one by writing a letter on each pumpkin that says Harvest. But we will have to see if I find the time. Enjoy making this easy pumpkin craft with your kids today.
