Eating for Weight Loss
Eating for Weight Loss! Eating better is the best diet plan you can implement into your life. Since we have been working on our weight loss and living healthier we have made lots of changes in our diet and have noticed a big difference when we revert to our old ways. For example, eating fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the easiest ways to make a change even though it may initially cost a little more.
Pay attention to your food choices and start your day off with a fruit smoothie or piece of fruit. It will help you get in the routine of grabbing something healthy instead of the usual donut or other not healthy choice you usually have. We also try to limit our fast food intake to no more than 2 times a month, but at first we thought it was going to kill us. But now we don’t really even miss it, and when we do have to have it, we feel lethargic after eating it so it really isn’t worth it to us anymore.
Drink lots of water and make small switches like exchanging white bread for wheat, white rice for quinoa or brown rice and of course lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. The other thing we did was got rid of most of the processed foods that we kept in the house. They aren’t here as a temptation and we feel so much better when we eat things that are good for us!
Don’t deprive yourself of foods that you love. If I want soda, chocolate or something unhealthy I indulge and do a little extra work around the house to burn the calories off. It is really a balancing act that you have to master in order to be healthier and eat for weight loss. It isn’t as hard as it seems once you get on the wagon, but you will fall off, the important part is to get back on and start eating healthy again after your treat.
Eating for weight loss isn’t about changing your entire diet, it is about knowing how to eat so that your body will look better and feel better. When you are eating the right way, you can easily enjoy the foods that you love while you are eating for weight loss.
