Fall is here and that means it’s time to have fun with the kids. There is just something about the fall weather and the environment it offers, it makes the perfect time to do fun things with the kiddos. Check out these fall activities for kids!

Nature Walk
One of the best fall activities for kids is a nature walk, and we love heading out to the state parks in our area to do them. This allows kids to pick up leaves and pinecones along the way. Of course they’ll have several questions for you in the process. Don’t be afraid to answer their questions along the way.

Rake Leaves
Come on, who doesn’t love to rake leaves? Your kids will enjoy putting all of those leaves into a pile and jumping in them. You can even join them!
Make Playdough Together
If you’re looking for a more of an indoor activity, consider making playdough together. This is a really cool Pumpkin Playdough recipe that you can make right at home. Or you can try slime and use orange food coloring instead of blue.

Collect Leaves for Crafts
There are so many fun crafts you can do with leaves. Try to find the most colorful ones available and have fun making crafts with them. My favorite is leaf rubbings because it only takes paper, leaves and crayons and even small kids can rub the crayon over paper.

Decorate the House for Fall
If you’re looking for something fun for the whole family to do this fall, allow your kids to help with house decorating. Think of how awesome your house will look all decorated for fall. We always do something like this for Fall!

Apple Picking
Is there anything more fun to do in the fall months with your kids? No way! Apple picking is a fun fall activity that your kids will love. Then you can do Fall crafts, and lots of yummy desserts with the apples.

Visit the Pumpkin Patch
Another great activity the whole family would enjoy during the fall is visiting a pumpkin patch. There’s so much to see and do when you visit a local pumpkin patch. There are normally hay rides, petting zoos, and so much more! If you are local one of our favorites is Papa Charlies Pumpkin Patch just outside of Chillicothe, Missouri.
