Filet Mignon Day
Filet Mignon Day is celebrated each year on August 12th! The Filet Mignon is one of the tender and of course priciest cuts of meat there is on the market. The filet is cut from the smaller end of a tenderloin on a beef carcass. But my favorite way to enjoy a Filet Mignon is grilled to perfection with a piece of fresh cured bacon wrapped around it. The bacon helps to keep the meat tender and adds some amazing flavor to this already decadent meal. It is usually one to two inches thick so it is the perfect meat to add potatoes and green beans to so that way you can make it a meal. So in honor of this food holiday enjoy a Filet Mignon today!
