Finding Dory Party Ideas
Finding Dory Party Ideas! We all secretly want to be the “Pinterest” mom that we see throwing the perfect birthday parties. Let me tell you a little secret, most of those parties are set up in advance and “staged” to be the PERFECT Party. But you know me, and I’m frugal as well as far from being the “Perfect Pinterest” Mom so I decided to tackle the Finding Dory Party Ideas the best way I knew how.
- It had to be cheap (or free) and the kids had to enjoy it.
- We have to have fun at a party, and I want you moms to be able to enjoy it too. We all know what it’s like when a kid has meltdown and it’s not pretty, can you imagine an adult meltdown?? YES, been there, done that, got the T-Shirt (well not really but you catch the drift.)
- What did YOU my readers like on my site? Frugal Frozen Party Ideas (YES, it’s the most viewed posts on my site and one of the oldest!)
- It had to be unique, easy and fun. WOW! That’s a lot, but I think with the help of friends you will throw the perfect “Finding Dory Party” for under your budget.
Finding Dory Themed Crayons
Let’s talk about Finding Dory Themed Crayons. One of the advantages (or disadvantages) of having one child is that you quickly outgrow the “party” phase, but because I have lots of nieces and nephews I’m still in luck. I wanted to come up with something unique, fun and that would be a hit. So I decided to take some old broken crayons and make them into “fish” crayons. Pair those up with Finding Dory coloring sheets and the kids will have a swimming good time.
To make them I purchased some molds off of Ebay and had to melt wax in a pan on the stove because it wasn’t oven safe. So I would be sure that the molds you pick up are oven safe because then the colors of your fish will really pop. Some of mine looked a little funny, but the nieces and nephews enjoyed them so that is what really matters.
Games
You can’t have a birthday party with games right?? Play Pin the fin (or tail) on Dory!
Using the same premise behind Pin the tail on the Donkey all you need is a copy of Dory, a wall, a handkerchief to cover their eyes and some tape for the “fin”. You can copy Dory above and cut off her fin and make her head bigger. Then make another copy of her fin that you can cut out.
Explain to the kids the game and have fun Pinning the Fin on Dory.
Prizes:
Could be given the person who gets the closest, or as we like to do it all, all kids get a prize for trying.
Don’t forget to print out the Frozen Memory game as well for another party center that will be a hit!
