Four Cool Hairstyles for Daughters with Short Hair
Just because your little girl has short hair doesn’t mean you can’t find different hairstyles. Here we give you some good ideas that you can experiment with and which you can enjoy together.
There are plenty of different hairstyles that you can test with your daughter’s short hair. This is probably the opposite of what you think. Hairstyles for short-haired girls put the mothers on creativity tests but also sisters, aunts, and stylists. However, the results are usually fantastic and surprising to say at least.
First and foremost, as it is with teenagers and adults, a hairstyle should complement a person’s facial features and make them stand out. We just sometimes tend to forget how short hair for girls can be just as flattering as long hair.
Your child’s short hair can make her unique characteristics stand out even more. Below we will give detailed descriptions of several hairstyles for girls with short hair so you can try them at home. Try them with your daughter to see which you both like the most and kickstart endless different tryouts until the little princess finds the perfect one.
Unfortunately, there is one thing we cannot deny, and its that options for short hair hairstyles are more limited than they are for those with long hair. Nevertheless, this only makes the challenge even more exciting!
Your hands have exactly what it takes to spice up your daughter’s hairstyle.
1. Colored Hair Bands for Short Hair
You do not have to worry if your baby does not have much hair, or if her hair is still very short. Different hair accessory retailers like Scunci we have all the little helpers that will create a perfect hairstyle for your daughter.
Start by dividing her hair, starting at the top of the head and all the way down.
Twist the first part around your finger and tie it together with a small band, then continue all the way down.
When you get to the end, tie the hair with a haircut and release the remaining hair. You can also add a band or a cute bow at the end. Then you can repeat with the second part of the hair. Comb through the pile and all hair that stands out to finish this wonderful hairstyle.
2. Set on One Side
Start by sharing your daughter’s hair on each side.
Then divide the hair a few centimeters from the middle and keep dividing it all the way to the opposite ear.
Collect all hair that lies outside these two parts and ties it together to a ponytail.
Now use the hair that is not tied together with a comb to divide a small portion along her hairline.
To do so, use the comb to draw a line that goes from one side to the opposite ear, a little away from her forehead. Collect all this hair and attach it with a small colored hairpiece.
Continue by dividing another small part of the hair just behind the former. Attach the new part with the previous one, firmly with a hairline in a different color.
Continue until you have used any loose hair. Use a new color on the hairline each time. Now you have created an imitation of the French braid.
The last step is to put together the braid with the ponytail as you did at the beginning.
You can also release the rest of the hair. Either way, you will be satisfied with the result.
3. Ponytails and Bows
Use a comb to draw a square on the head. In other words, divide the hair into two side sections and make another line over the head, from one side to the other.
Tie all hair back on your daughter, except the square. If your daughter has a pile, divide it from the rest of the hair with a hair clip. Do this so that the pile doesn’t get in the way.
Repeat the steps in the previous hairstyle; Divide the square into smaller parts and tie the parts together with small colored hair strands. Just as mentioned above, use a new color on each hairline.
In the next step, collect all the hair that is outside the square and divide it into two ponytails. Tie together the small parts of the square with each of the ponytails.
Finally, tie a ribbon around each of the ponytails in a lovely bow.
Your child’s short hair makes her unique characteristics stand out even more.
4. Braids
When you think of braids, you usually assume that it is only reserved for long hair. Braids can, however, be perfectly adapted to both short and long hair. We will now show you a way to braid your daughter’s short hair and probably create her new favorite hairstyle.
First, you divide her hair and comb the rest of her hair back. Then, separate the hair into several small parts along the hairline and tie them with small rubber bands.
Now divide each ponytail into two parts and put half the ponytail together with the next ponytail.
Once you have done both sides, tie the ends together. You can only add a bow or leave it as it is. However, we suggest using a tape.
Start by tying the tape on the side where you attached the first rubber band. Then put it under the belt on each “braid”. When you get to the last “braid” you make a second knot.
As you can see, these hairstyles for short-haired girls are simple and beautiful. For best results, your daughter’s hair should be wet and she should be relaxed.
If your child is not in a good mood or does not have much energy, wait for a better opportunity. In the end, the hairstyle is not what counts, but the time spent together and all the smiles shared together during tryouts.
