Frugal Gold Themed Party
Are you wanting to throw a gold themed party? Obviously, you won’t be throwing real chunks of gold at people this year, so you need to keep it frugal. Here are some ways you can throw a frugal gold themed party and keep the real gold in your pocket.
Use Gold Dinnerware
A great start to throwing a gold themed party is to choose your gold dinnerware. You can use fake gold as no one really wants you to eat off of their real gold plates. You can find fake gold dinnerware at your local Dollar Store. You may even be able to find gold paper plates, cups, and napkins.
Paint Mason Jars Gold
If you need an awesome centerpiece for your gold themed party, here’s an idea. Paint mason jars gold and set them in the center of your tables. You can then place flowers inside of the mason jars or whatever else you’d like to have as your centerpiece. Honestly, you can’t paint any glass bottle gold to help you achieve a gold themed party look, all while staying frugal.
Gold Cake Pops
Add a little pizzazz to your gold themed party by using cake pops “dipped” in gold. You may have to play around with the frosting until you get your desired look.
If you just can’t think of anything gold that will make your party look awesome, think outside of the box. Items like gold balloons, streamer, and candles can make your party look great, without spending a fortune. I do a lot of my shopping at Luna Bazarr when it comes time for themed parties because they have a great selection of “color coded” items. Gold is of course one of those categories!
Keep in mind that anything you want to be gold, you can easily do yourself. With a can of gold paint, you can turn anything a gold color. Just keep in mind that some things look great painted gold and other things do not. So whip out the can of spray paint and give your thrift shop finds a new life!
