Fun Things to Do in the Winter!

You don’t have to stay bored and couped up in the house without nothing to do this chilly season. Check out these fun things to do in the winter.

Go Ice Skating

You don’t have to be an Olympic champion to get on the rink and enjoy ice skating. This is a great activity for all levels to learn and take part in.

Ice skating is a beautiful athletic activity that also doubles as good exercise. Find an indoor or outdoor rink near you.

Do Snow Activities

There are plenty of things to do in the winter that involves snow. Sledding, snowboard, skiing and making snow angels are just a few.

Winter snowsports are a great way to get outside, have some fun and forget about the temperatures dropping. They also can be done right in your own backyard if you live in an area that gets a good amount of snow.

Try an Escape Room

If you’re looking for some indoor things to do in the winter then you should definitely sign your family and friends up for an escape room. Spend an evening in a themed room of your choice helping each other look for hidden clues to solve a mystery.

The whole goal is to make your way out of the room before time is up. It’s like playing a real-life Clue game. And if you win they give you cool photo ops with bragging signs.

Take a Holiday Light/Window Walk

Some cities, like New York, are well known for Lighting up their streets and decorating their windows to really create the holiday feel. Consider taking a road trip to a city if you don’t live close by and going for a walk to do some light and window watching.

The beautiful sights are enough to take the chill off of a brisk winter day. Also, grab some hot apple cider while you’re out.

Stay in For Netflix & Chill

Although there are lots of outdoor options for things to do in the winter, you might actually want to spend some days couped up in the house. That’s where Netflix comes in.

The internet has introduced us to the phrase “Netflix and chill” which basically speaks to binging on show series and movies. You also have other streaming options, such as Hulu and Disney+. This is a great way to spend time with your partner or the entire family. Don’t forget to spend the night enjoying Hallmark movies, that’s one of my favorites!

Have a Board Games & Baked Goods Family Fun Night

Who doesn’t love a good game night? Well, if you throw some homemade cookies in there it’s pretty much the absolutely perfect time.

Bring out some classic and new games to play with the family. Make some time for finding your favorite baked recipes and making those treats to add to the party.

Looking for More Things to Do in the Winter?

Your options for things to do in the winter are limited. There are plenty of fun activities that can entertain you and the family when the days grow cold.
