FutureWorm Sneak Peak into Episode 1
*I received an all expenses paid trip to LA to provide coverage of The BFG Event, however as always opinions are 100% my own. #TheBFG #TheBFGEvent #QueenofKatwe #FutureWorm
The day has finally came where I can tell you a little more about Future-Worm! Back in June we headed over to the DisneyToons Studio for a behind the scenes look at Future-Worm. We got to screen an episode as well as interview Executive Producer Ryan Quincy and had a pretty cool visit with some scientists and other cool things. Future-Worm!” is an offbeat comedy adventure that follows Danny, an optimistic 12-year-old who creates a time machine lunch box and befriends Future Worm, a fearless worm from the future with titanium-enforced abs.
One of my favorite parts about Future-Worm! is that the characters can get smaller and bigger in order to be transported in a suitcase. What kid doesn’t have that dream at one time or another? But the entire episodes we watched were all funny in their own way, but in a way that stayed true to reality as well. I LOVE that it has a very science feel but it is based on facts as well as a make believe world which makes it unlike most shows on television today.
Captain Crackers
Gloop and Aliens is every kids dream. Everything they try is still making more gloop, but Captain Crackers to the rescue (literally) which is kind of a cool trick if you think about it. Captain Crackers is a cereal that is ridiculously bad for you and a combination of Cap’ n Crunch, Cookie Crisps and birthday cake for the winning combination. It may not make an appearance in every episode, but there are callbacks to it in each one.
Best friends and team work make the world a better place but they get a lifetime supply of the delicious cereal in the end so it’s all worth it (sort of)!
Labor of Love
Creating each episode is a labor of love and it’s like an assembly line that is an overlapping process to complete the final project. But they started in January of 2015 and just finished the first episode in June of 2016. But Ryan has watched lots of episodes in some shape or form in the last year and half and still laughs in some places so you know it’s good. It is fun for them every step of the way, from coming up with ideas in the writers’ room, to the final product. Picking the three episodes that were paired together was a strategic plan according to Ryan. They wanted them to flow in their own way, but there are lots of stories to tell. But the finale will be a whopping 21 minutes, so be sure to follow along with the adventures of #FutureWorm!
Bug Adventures
While Bug has some frustrations because she can’t go into the future, they are working hard for her to have her day. We will all have to tune in to see what adventures she has!
