Gingersnap Day
Gingersnap Day is celebrated each year on July 1st along with Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day! Gingersnaps are always a treat to have because of their sweet yet spicy kick to them! Molasses, Brown Sugar, Cloves and Ginger are often used to make this cookie and most people either love it or hate it. I’m not a huge fan of ginger, so I’m not a lover, but when the mood strikes I head into the store and buy a package for $1!
There are many versions of this cookie, but I prefer the ones above because they are more like a sugar cookie!!

In New Zealand we call them Gingernuts 🙂 I love them with a cup of tea or coffee for dunking. Delicious!

I love ginger in cookies, but not in Asian recipes – I also love cookies with molasses – I’d love to try this!
