Graduation Celebration Party Planning with Oriental Trading
*I received these items free in exchange for my honest opinion, however as always opinions are 100% my own.
Liz is going to be graduating from High school in just under a month so all things Graduation are happening at our household. While one chapter of her life will be closing another one will be starting. It is an exciting time for her as well as us but with ending chapters that usually means a celebration of some kind. This year we are holding a Graduation Party for her and we have been busy getting started. So when the party planning started we decided the direction we wanted to go and then started shopping.
While we are going for “Liz” Themed Graduation celebration one thing is for certain we are keeping it as simple as we can. With that being said I knew that the folks at Oriental Trading would have everything we needed for a great party. So we went shopping with the following things in mind for our party.
- Table Decorations we wanted something simple but personalized and preferred glass of some kind.
- Photo Booth Supplies including backdrops, a sign, boas and things to make it a fun section.
- Kids Table supplies, with over 20 nieces and nephews there will be kids at the party and we all know they need something to keep busy.
- Graduation Decorations that would be easy to implement but wouldn’t require a lot of time setting up.
Now, while I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted I knew that making a teenager happy as well as myself would be a challenge. But within minutes we had enough picked out to meet both our needs. So, what did we get??
For table decorations we decided on these personalized graduation votive holders for only $13.99. There are a dozen of them so the tables will be decorated but there will still be room for people’s food and drinks. We had them personalized with her Name and Class of 2016. When they arrived the stickers weren’t on the holders but it took very little time to add them to it.
This is the generation for selfies and snapping pictures of all things to remember the occasion by. So we knew we would need a photo station so we opted for the Photo Booth Instructions Sign to make things simple for all guests. Then picked a white and black boa to accompany the other photo props we already have. I know this will be a popular part of the party so be sure to check back to see our finished projects in May.
To tackle the kids table supplies we picked up these hexagon shaped bubbles in yellow and black. We will be having the graduation party at a park and kids of all ages love bubbles. I’m not sure who is more excited about them the kids that know I got them or Liz who seems to have a new bottle out every time I turn around. After that we went on the graduation decoration prowl and found the perfect additions to our Liz themed party! A personalized 2016 graduation frame so she will always remember her special day.
Finally, we added these adorable Black and Gold Mylar balloons for decorations that are easy to implement. We ordered two sets of them and I can’t wait until the day of our Graduation Celebration to see how it all ties together to make the perfect party.
