Already planning your next big adventure? It’s difficult to get back into a regular 9-5 and everyday life when you’ve already been bitten by the travel bug. One of the biggest hurdles that avid travelers face is choosing where they want to go to next! You want your trip to be a success and you want to enjoy every moment, so finding the right destination is crucial. Do not fret because one of the best options is to enjoy the scenic destinations near Cork City with beautiful beaches, majestic castles, picturesque parks, and pretty towns. But with so many amazing continents, countries, cities and even little villages tucked away in the farthest corners of the world, it’s not going to be easy.
With all this in mind, I’ve written this post to help you choose your next travel destination and have no regrets! Good luck!
Don’t forget! Before you travel you need to have some travel insurance in place. If you love being on the road then consider investing in frequent traveller insurance, that way you’re covered for any travel mishaps and medical emergencies. Click the link to find out more.
Consider how much time you have
One of the biggest questions you need to ask yourself before you choose your new travel destination, is how much time do you have? A weekend? A couple of weeks or several months? The last thing you want is to ruin your travel adventures by cramming in as much as you can into a couple of days, getting stressed out and barely taking anything in. The amount of time you have could mean the difference between visiting a new city or backpacking your way through several. When you know how much time you have, you’ll be able to tailor your travels to suit.
What kind of activities are you hoping for?
If you’re looking for fast-paced water sports then a city break probably isn’t worth your time. Likewise, if you want to spend your time away relaxing and getting back to nature, you should probably opt for something a little slower paced. If you want to fully immerse yourself within a new culture then maybe avoid countries with a background similar to your own.
What’s your budget?
More often than not, your travel budget will probably dictate where you end up traveling to. Unless you want to save a little more. Of course, you don’t have to be affluent to travel the world, many seasoned travelers do it on a very tight budget, but if comfort is important to you, then you should take a good look at your travel funds. Ask yourself if you want to travel first-class or economy? Would you prefer to stay in a hotel, or will a hostel suffice? Which countries can you afford to go to?
Head to Instagram
It sounds silly, but with over 95 million new images uploaded to Instagram every single day, you’ll probably find some much-needed travel inspiration right in the palm of your hand. Follow travel hashtags or follow some fellow travelers and check out the countries they love. Who knows, you’ll probably add several new destinations to your travel list!
