How to Help Curb Your Appetite

Health & Beauty

These suggestions should not take the place of your doctor’s advice. These are just ideas to help you curb your appetite along with a healthy diet and lifestyle.

The new year is just around the corner and while many of us have put on our Quarantine 15 it’s time to turn it around. Enjoy the holidays, and then we will get healthy, (I know I’ve said it more times than I can count. However, I stick to something for a few days and feel like I should be skinny already and we all know it doesn’t work that way.

We put on the weight one pound at a time and have a hard time sticking with a diet, but what we should be focusing on is lifestyle changes. Over the last year my weight has fluctuated more than ever and I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. While that was a hard hit, eating healthier has been one of our top priorities. So I’ve been on medication for that for 3 months, and had a follow up with the Doctor last week. While I was expecting a good report, my triglycerides were high and it’s time to up my health game even more. One of the best ways to cut calories is to chew gum likes some of the products from mr. hemp flower.

So, now I’m on a medication for pre-diabetes and a low carb as well as a low fat diet. But it doesn’t stop there, we actually joined to local YMCA so we can start exercising a few times a week. I’ve also been reading about supplements that can help you to shed unwanted pounds as well. I’ve discovered that cannabinoids like CBD, THC, and THCV can act as an appetite suppressant so that is something else that could be looked into. There are products like CBD oil and delta 8 THC that are readily available, but be sure to check out the legality of delta 8 by state to ensure you are following your states laws. While it isn’t going to be an overnight change, I believe that it will be a lifestyle change that will be better for us in the end.

When it comes to getting healthy and staying healthy, eating a nutritious diet and regular exercise are at the top of the list. If you constantly try to lose weight, and never seem to manage it, the problem might be that you are not looking at it in the right way. Your mindset makes a huge difference in these kinds of matters, and it is worth looking into if you are really keen to improve your likelihood of losing weight.

Here are a few of the things we have implemented to help us curb our appetites and live a healthier lifestyle too! Try supplements to help you shed unwanted pounds just be sure to check out legality of delta 8 by state to ensure you are following your states laws.

Drink a glass of water before and after each meal.

Drinking more water is one of the most important things you can do to help curb your appetite. Drinking a glass of water before and after each meal will help you eat less, stay fuller longer, and help you stay hydrated. Plus, each day my water goal is now up to 100 ounces and while somedays it feels almost impossible to get it done, it usually happens. If it doesn’t, I don’t beat myself up over it, I simply move on and try again the next day. The key is keeping the water cold in the fridge and in my glass all day long.

Eat a nutritious breakfast.

Eating a nutritious breakfast goes a long way to help you curb your appetite, as well as, kick-starting your metabolism. A healthy breakfast includes protein, whole grains, fruit, and dairy. A good breakfast in the morning, also gives you the energy you need to be active and helps fuel your mind. I used to be the worlds worst at skipping breakfast, but I feel so much better when I eat it. Just keep a variety of foods on hand that allow you to eat healthy even on the go.

Write out a meal plan.

If you write out what you are going to eat for the day you are less likely to eat things you aren’t supposed to eat. Planning ahead assists you to eat all you need to keep your body running efficiently which helps you control your appetite. I use a combination of things to help me meal plan, some weeks I use this sheet printed out and put on the fridge. I write in pencil so things can easily be swapped if we need a different meal on a different day.

My favorite way to meal plan is to print a calendar out and put it onto the fridge. Then use the small sticky notes like the ones below in the first box with what we are having for dinner. Then, if we need to move it, it’s easily done, then I put them on the next month which cuts down on excess spending and repetitive meals. Examples include: Spaghetti, Meatloaf, Meatballs, Stuffed Meatballs, Fried Chicken, Burritos, Tacos, Taco Soup, etc. There are endless options for each meal, and if you start planning a week at a time you are doing better than you were doing before.

Eat at regular intervals every day.

Eating at regular times during the day helps keep your blood sugar at a healthy level. It is when you don’t eat or skip meals that cause your blood sugar level to drop. When your blood sugar drops you become ravenous and reach for the closest and easiest thing to eat. This is usually processed or sugary foods that then cause your blood sugar to rise quickly, which is unhealthy. *Processed foods often raise your triglycerides too, so eat fresh foods when you can and it will compliment your newest lifestyle change.

Keep books like these handy to help you fill your calendar and stay healthy into the new year.
