It’s Your New Normal

It's Your New Normal

Do you ever have a year where everything goes wrong? That was 2015 for our family and with those obstacles came lots of hardships, bridges to cross, decisions to make and so much more. It was a tough year from the get-go but with each of those obstacles came life lessons and what was ultimately a new normal for us. Each one was a setback in it’s own way and I struggled with bouts of depression, anxiety and an overall hate of life more days than not. I’m not telling you this to get your sympathy but rather to explain why the need or want to change my site, outlook and life in general.

While I’m not ready to spill all of the beans about each and every thing that happened in 2015 I will say that I learned a few things.

  • I’m stronger than I give myself credit for.
  • Each hardship you face in life brings on a new set of problems.
  • It is a new normal

It is a new normal has become my motto to get me through each day. I don’t always like the circumstances that are surrounding me but I have to remember that it is a new normal. Things throughout our lives change and happen for a reason, and we don’t always realize what those reasons are until much later in life. So I’m trying to embrace the new normal and not sweat the small stuff. I’m not saying that I’m perfect and that everyday is filled with sunshine and rainbows but I do make it day by day. Life is all about changes, balance and of course embracing your new normal.

So without writing a huge book to bore you with I introduce you to Life with Heidi. Life changes….embrace those changes because they make you who you are today. Smile, cry, laugh, and enjoy your new normal because chances are it won’t stick around for to long (and if it does you have got this!)
