Kennedy Space Center
*I received complimentary tickets to the Kennedy Space Center but all opinions are 100% my own.
Visiting the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral Florida was epic from the time we arrived on the parking lot. I have always wanted to go to NASA-Kennedy Space Center but knew that it may not happen, so it was on my Bucket List of things to do! Earlier this month I was brought to the Kennedy Space Center and spent a portion of the day exploring, having a guided tour, eating lunch with an astronaut and of course doing the Space Experience.
It was everything I had imagined it to be and more because of the experience that we had. We had a wonderful tour guide that met us at the front gate and guided us throughout all of the Kennedy Space Center. She loved her job and that was more than apparent because she was knowledgeable and excited throughout the entire tour.
The amount of shuttles, space history and all things at the Kennedy Space Center were absolutely amazing! One of the most impressive things to me was that we sent man to the moon using pencils, paper and a slide ruler. That my friends is some good old fashioned mathematics at work!
The command center for NASA used to look like this which reminds me of simpler times!
Check out the video below to see all of the fun exhibits we saw while we were there. But there are lots of exhibits that we didn’t even see.

Exploration Space: Explorers Wanted
Eye on the Universe: The Hubble Space Telescope
Astronaut Encounter was a great question and answer session with one of the few people who have been in space. The day we were there it was astronaut John-David Barstoe and the kids took charge of the interview. It was great to see the kids that were in attendance being so engaged and asking questions that some adults wouldn’t dare answer. But John-David Barstoe took them in stride and went right along with his presentation.

Space Shuttle Atlantis and Shuttle Launch Experience is an absolutely amazing presentation and must do activity. Even over a week later I still get goosebumps when I think about the excitement of this wonderful exhibit.
I don’t want to ruin the Atlantis Experience for you, but it is a MUST do activity!! Here is a video of the space shuttle and being that close to it, was nothing short of amazing!
I would definitely recommend an entire day to spend exploring Kennedy Space Center. We were there half a day and saw a lot of it, but there were things I had wished I had seen before leaving. There is nothing better to do while on the Space Coast than to stop by the Kennedy Space Center.
The NASA Mission:
To Understand and protect our home planet,
To explore the universe and search for life,
To inspire the next generation of explorers…as only NASA can.
After a visit to Kennedy Space Center I would agree that they are doing their Mission statement and more!
