Marinette and Adrien, two seemingly normal kids  live what appears to be an ordinary teen life in Paris with daily encounters that create amusing circumstances in school,  with friends, family, and even with strangers. But when the evil Hawk Moth threatens their beloved city of Paris, they transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir using super powers gained with the help of their magical friends. Hawk Moth is using his evil energy to transform normal people into super villains, so our two heroes need to use all their skills to defeat him.

Becoming Ladybug is a complicated process. First, Marinette needs a “Kwami,” which is a tiny magical assistant (called Tikki). She also needs a “Miraculous,” which is a magical accessory (her special pair of earrings). Tikki uses the Miraculous to transform Marinette, but her Ladybug super powers only work for a limited time!

It is a good thing that she gets a little help from her superhero partner, Cat Noir even though she insists she doesn’t need him. If only she knew Cat Noir’s true identity – her school crush, Adrien! It will take a lot – friendship, teamwork and skill – to outwit Hawk Moth. Will Ladybug and Cat Noir be able to balance their double lives and keep Paris safe? Will they ever find out each other’s true identity? Until then – there is a whole city of baddies to defeat… SPOTS ON, CLAWS OUT!

In order to celebrate this TV Series being available on DVD we have gotten a little creative and went a little “ladybug” crazy. We have created a “Ladybug” inspired Birthday Party invitations, Ladybug cookies and a LadyBug Party Pack. So you can have a Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir party at your house! 

Supplies needed:
Oreos

Red Melting Chocolate

Black Icing (I bought pre-made in a tube)

First you start off by melting your red melting chocolates. I created my own “double boiler” by using a small skillet and a small saucepan and it worked great. After the chocolates are completely melted you dip your Oreo cookies into the red chocolate and cover them completely. I did cheat a little bit and left the bottoms plain and then re-dipped them when the first side was hardened. 

Set them on waxed paper and let them harden. When they are done break off the “extra” pieces to make them more of a round shape and grab your icing. As you can see below my icing had sparkles in it to make them a little more fun. I added seven dots on most of the ladybugs because i thought t needed more dots than the six, but the great thing about this recipe is you can make it your own.

After your cookies are finished grab the kids and Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir and have movie night. I promise the memories you make will be priceless, the cookies delicious and the movie entertaining.
