Think of Las Vegas, and you’ll immediately think of the word “sin”. After all, it is nicknamed Sin City. It’s America’s Playground, fuelled by gambling, alcohol and excess at every corner. But it is also pretty family friendly.
While we’re not saying to take your children out until 2am, there is more to the Nevada city than the more adult-friendly activities.
Of course, gambling is everywhere. Similar to the internet these days, where millions of people are playing on the likes of 777 roulette and other variations of the game on a daily basis, but it can be avoided, and there are some great activities for all the family to enjoy.
So, don’t let that put you off viva Las Vegas, and here are just a handful of must-do activities when you touch down on the Strip…
Mandalay Bay’s Aquarium
There are a host of aquariums and mini-zoos right down the Strip and it’s at Mandalay Bay where you’ll find the best. The aquarium at the hotel casino is fantastic, and a real thrill for those who like sharks. There are a total of 14 shark habitats, as well as a host of other aquatic wildlife, complete with a touch pool where you can dip your fingers in and touch the creatures.
You can get fully guided tours and it’s well worth an afternoon out.
Adventuredome at Circus Circus
Circus Circus is a great place to take the whole family, with Adventuredome stacked full of things to do. The big top of Circus Circus is always an exciting place to visit and attractions include mini-golf, bowling, rock climbing and bungee jumping, arcade games, roller coasters and much much more.
Of course, there are several other roller coasters across the Strip too, including at the New York New York and Stratosphere.
Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.
Ok, for any Marvel fan visiting the city, the ultimate thing to do is the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at Treasure Island.
The exhibit has information and various trinkets on all things Avengers, getting to see models of the characters and tons of sciency bits and pieces on how they work. It’s a great day out for any superhero lover.
Discovery Children’s Museum
There is actually a children’s museum in Las Vegas, located Downtown and offering nine different interactive zones and 12 levels of fun. There’s tons to do and you’ll comfortably be there for most of the day, with so much going on.
It’s the ideal day to really engage with all the family, with the likes of the Water World and EcoCity sections not only a place of fun but of learning too.
