Loveuary is the New February
We all know how much I love Hallmark Channel movies, nine times out of ten it is what is on in the croffice (craft room/office) while I’m doing other things. If there was an award for the amount of time I spend on Hallmark Channel, I’m pretty sure I would win.
But all of February I’ve enjoyed Loveuary, which is: Loveuary is the new February! Clever huh?! But they are also known for Where Love Happens and Hallmark Channel as the go-to destination for romantic movies!
My favorite thing about love!
My favorite thing about love is that it is unconditional especially when that love comes from kids. As adults, we have lots of “conditions or expectations” in place and we all have felt love at one time or another. As parents, we love unconditionally (or most parents do), as well as other family members. And my favorite thing about love? Is that it grows with you!
But what I didn’t expect was how much my love grew with the addition of each additional family member. For example, we had one child Elizabeth, and she eventually ended up marrying her childhood sweetheart. Austin was family from the start in a lot of ways, but when they got married, my love for him changed.
Then, when the grandbabies entered the picture, my heart grew once for Tater, and then again it grew once Poppy made her appearance into the world. While the love of a grandparent is different than the love for a child, and different from the love you feel for a spouse. The bottom line is love grows and grows and grows, love is undeniable, and love is comfort for all.
And yes, I know love is even more than that, and sometimes it’s doing something for someone you love and not expecting anything any return. The bottom line is, there is no wrong way to love, show your love, or even feel love. Show your love everyday to your loved ones and enjoy Loveuary on the Hallmark Channel to watch love grow even more.
So many times, we spend a lot of time worrying about what to get for our loved ones instead of enjoying the actual celebration. Make sure to take a step back and enjoy your time with those you love, whether it’s going out for drinks or simply cuddling on the couch with each other! Remember that every moment you have together is precious.

Love is kind and nuturing. It’s about being there for one another throughout both the bad and good times always being supportive no matter what. It’s about enjoying the little things together and making memories together.

What love means to me: I knew the minute I saw my wife (obviously before we were married) that I was in love. When we dated, I was stationed at Ft. Drum, NY, about 4 hours from where we currently live. I would cry when I left her and longed for the moment I could see her again. Love to me is counting the minutes to being able to see your significant other. Other forms of love are the love for my kids and grandkids, as well as my family, regardless of any shortcomings or strife, there may be between us.
