Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
I received a copy of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil exchange for this post, however, as always opinions are 100% my own.
If you have followed me for very long at all you know I LOVE Disney. Disney Classics, New Disney Releases, Disney+ and everything in the middle that I just glazed over. But this year we brought the new year in with the New Maleficent: Mistress of Evil Blu-Ray and it did NOT disappoint. The most iconic villian is back, and the storyline is fantastic!
The main characters were of course Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer. It is now available on digital but on arrives 4-K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD January 14, 2020. The thrilling sequel to 2014’s Maleficent will include brand-new bonus features, extended scenes, outtakes and an exclusive extra for Digital consumers.

Bonus features take viewers behind-the-scenes with the all-star cast to explore the making of “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.” Extended scenes reveal how Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer) manipulates Aurora into questioning Maleficient and accelerating her wedding plans. Featurettes include interviews with Jolie, who discusses Maleficent’s origins and the cast who portray the Fey, and Fanning, who gushes over Aurora’s fairytale wedding. Filmmakers showcase the visual effects behind the film’s stunning landscapes and the seemingly effortless flight of the Fey. Additional extras include “You Can’t Stop The Girl,” a music video performed by Bebe Rexha, and hilarious outtakes, ranging from uncooperative cats to uncontrollable giggles on set.

“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” is a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after “Maleficent,” in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora. The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within. The film is directed by Joachim Rønning from a story by Linda Woolverton and a screenplay by Linda Woolverton and Micah Fitzerman-Blue & Noah Harpster, the film is produced by Joe Roth, Angelina Jolie and Duncan Henderson with Matt Smith, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Michael Vieira serving as executive producers.
