Moms of ABC Event
Moms of ABC Event!! The Los Angeles trips I am asked to go on are nothing short of amazing and this trip was no different. One night we got to meet with Mom’s of ABC mix and mingle and just chat with them! It was one of the coolest things I have had the opportunity to do because I was able to chat with some amazing actresses in the hour or so we were together. I learned a lot about them on a personal level as well as a professional level and it was truly amazing to be a part of this great mix and mingle.
The Neighbors
Jami Gertz from “The Neighbors” plays Debbie Weaver on the show. She plays a mom on the show and off screen she is a mom of three boys so definately gets the struggles we as moms face everyday. Talking to Jami was like talking to your best friend and you can pick up right where you left off. She was super sweet and a fantastic person. Tune into The Neighbors at 7:30 pm each Friday!!
Selfie pictures with Tok Olagundoye also from The Neighbors who plays Jackie Joyner-Kersee on the show. She is very tall as well as amazingly nice. She had a super cute purse the night she met with us that she has had since she was very young. Listening to her talk was simply amazing because she had a foreign accent that we later learned can change very easily to adapt to her surroundings so to speak.
Ming-Na Wen of Marvel’s AGents of S.H.I.E.L.D is super nice and loves to read blogs. She is an avid blog reader and wanted our business cards so she could read ours, which is very cool! She is also a mother of two children so she loves to save anywhere she can which will allow her to learn a few things from some of our posts.
Malin Akerman from The Trophy Wife was in a group next to us but because of time we didn’t get the chance to chat with her. But my other blogger buddies had a great time visiting with her and she was all smiles the entire time she was chatting.
Frankie Shaw from Mixology who plays Fabienne as well as Alexis Carra who plays Jessica on Mixology. I didn’t get a chance to visit with them either but they seemed very nice.
Patricia Heaton from “The Middle” is humble, fun and an amazing person inside and out!! She was very genuine and I think she is enjoyed being there as much as we did!! She honestly was like talking to an old friend which was something I didn’t expect.
My all time favorite interview from the night is a tie between Patricia Heaton as well as Amanda Fuller from “The Last Man Standing.” She was the youngest “mom” there and plays a teen mom on the show. However, she is very talented because in real life she doesn’t have any kids. Which I found exciting as well as very talented, she was just as great as all of the others. But it seemed very impressive to me that someone so young can truly understand what a mom goes through each day!!
We had a great hour of mixing and mingling and I felt a connection with all of the great people we met!! I am extremely grateful for this opportunity!!
*Disclosure: I received an all expenses paid trip to Los Angeles for the #ABCTVEvent and #Disneyevents in exchange for my coverage. All opinions are 100% my own.
