Must Do On Florida’s Space Coast
*I received complimentary admission or travel expenses to travel to the Space Coast. Regardless, all opinions are 100% my own.
Must Do On Florida’s Space Coast for me include the following locations.
Where to Stay
Tuckaway Shores Resort for a stay in a secluded beach that is private you can read more about it here. Don’t forget to pack your own food for a meal cooked in the famous Big Green Egg! They even have a special coupon code for my readers, so be sure to take advantage of that savings too!
Kennedy Space Center is an absolute must do and seeing the space shuttle Atlantis is nothing short of spectacular. Words can’t describe the feeling I got when I first saw the shuttle, and I still get goosebumps when I think about it!
Brevard County Zoo You must kayak through the zoo because it is the only zoo in the United States where you can do that!
Exploration Tower, Canaveral Locks and of course the Jetty Park! Be sure you go on a Dolphin/Manatee Watching Tour as well! Seeing a manatee or a sea cow is impressive!! They are related to the elephant and have 3 toes like elephants and their lungs are 2/3’s the length of it’s body. At only $26.50 this is a must do the next time we are on the Space Coast.
Barrier Island Sanctuary is a management and education center for Brevard County. They have lots of great activities for you to do while there and the best part is that it is free of charge.
Ron Jon Surf Shop where it all started is a must see tourist destination. It was fun to do a little souvenir shopping while there!
Restaurants
Rusty’s where they are famous for their HOMEMADE Key Lime Pie. It is the best Key Lime Pie I have ever had and the owner’s mom Colee still makes it at home in her very own kitchen. The food was great, but the pie was my absolute favorite!
Sand on the Beach has some amazing views and breakfast dishes too! The Seafood omelet was amazing, but the French Toast and Egg’s Benedict looked just a good.
Don’t forget to check out the airboat rides as well as a Pirate Dinner while you are visiting the Space Coast! No matter what you decide to do, I promise a visit to the Space Coast is just what the Dr. ordered!
