Must Have Photo Booth Items
For our daughter’s graduation reception we wanted to implement a photo booth. But the items you can include are endless, so we decided to come up with a few things to help you plan your 360 photo booth Bay Area. With so many ways to share your photos from Facebook to Instagram, you want your pictures to stand out from everyone else. If you want to get creative, you must have these photo booth items:
A backdrop: We used a plain black photography backdrop with balloons on the side to dress it up just a little bit. We had natural Lighting for the pictures as well as a photography light set up to make sure everyone looked their best. (It helps that mom is a blogger) Plus the Backdrop support system allowed for a professional look without the professional cost.
Then we set up a table with some fun props on it to keep everything in a central location. Some of the items we included are feather boas, hats, mustaches, lips, sunglasses and more. There is a plethora of items at Oriental Trading including the photo booth sign above!
But while we had plenty for some great pictures you can take it even further! Here are some great additions to make your photo booth a success.
Chalkboard or Dry Erase Board: Everyone likes to know what’s going on in the picture. Chalkboards or dry erase boards are a great way to share a secret (It’s a boy!), add a funny comment, or give information. Be creative and have fun!
Masks, Lips, and Mustaches: Even elegant times need some goofy pictures. From teenage mutant ninja turtle masks and elegant masquerade masks to lips and mustaches, you can have a lot of variety and fun in your shots.
Unique Hats: Hats of all kinds can turn an ordinary photo shoot into a cowboy scene, a dance party, or a baseball outing. Try to bring various hats from different sports teams, cowboy hats, and top hats to add character to your shoot.
Colorful Flowers: Flowers are delicate and beautiful and can spice up a regular photo shoot into a meadow scene, an elegant night (flower in the hair), or flower picking contest. You can add a flower to almost any photo for a little creativity.
Various Umbrellas: From a child dancing in the rain to a classy sunbathing day, umbrellas can be used to spice up any photo shoot. You can even use lace umbrellas for those elegant Victorian pictures. Umbrellas are a photo booth must.
Whether you’re posing for the camera or taking pictures for someone else, it’s always fun to add in some props. The great thing about photo booth props is that you can be as creative with them as you want. Art comes in all shapes and forms. What other artistic ways have you used props? We would love to know in the comments below!
