Pampering at Beauty Brands

Moms are busy people and more often than not we take care of others before we take care of ourselves. Yes, I am guilty of that very same thing but am learning to take more time out of my schedule for me. This is where Beauty Brands comes in, because you can go get Spa like treatments for a fraction of the cost. Not to mention the great deals you can purchase while you are there to help you look and feel your best! It really is the best of both worlds and isn’t at all intimidating like I have found at a few spas.

This weekend I headed out to Shawnee Mission, Kansas to check out the newest Salon/Beauty Brands store during their open house. The store is located at 15320 Shawnee Mission Pkwy in Shawnee Mission, Kansas which is just over an hour away from our home. But what I found was one of the best trips I’ve taken in awhile because it literally has everything you need all in one stop. I was greeted with ladies at the front door welcoming me to their open house which meant a full house! They were handing out samples as well as telling everyone about all of their great services that they offer. Above were two of the samples they were handing out including KMS California Hair Play Makeover Spray as well as Professional Sebastian Shaper which is Dry Shampoo. Two of the ladies that work there swear that the Dry Shampoo is the best thing they have every implemented into their beauty routines. As a busy mom we all know that it could be a life saver sometimes especially when we get busy!

After visiting with them for a few minutes one of the store managers met me and took me on a tour of the Beauty Rooms side of Beauty Brands. Which is where they offer Spa like treatments at very reasonable prices! I love that Beauty Brands is open 7 days a week and you can get a luxury beauty experience that fits almost any budget. But they even offer children’s and men’s haircuts as well, so you could make it a one stop shop for the whole family.

Some of the services that are available include: Haircuts, colors, blowout, styling, extensions, facials, lash extensions, Brow Bar (for all of your waxing needs), Makeup application, manicures/pedicures, hair removal and of course beauty packages. But on Saturday I received a Blowout which was a lot of fun! I was whisked away to one of the shampoo chairs where I received a shampoo, scalp massage (complete with essential oils) and a blow dry! It allows us to be pampered between haircuts as well as a time for consultation to see what products you could use to make your hair look the best.

Melissa was the Master Stylist and was super friendly as well as helpful during the whole experience. She asked about my normal beauty routine, gave me helpful hints to help my hair look it’s best and taught me a few things I didn’t know. She even commented about my cowlick and how to make my hair work with the cowlick instead of against it which is something I had never been told before. But since my Blowout services my hair has looked even better on a daily basis than it usually does! So the next time you want a little pampering head out the Shawnee Mission and spend $35 on yourself and learn something in the process. As moms we deserve it and need to remember to take time for ourselves. After my blowout I decided it was time to a little bit of shopping!

Because it was their open house they had a $5 section as well as a $10 section along with their normal specials for the week. Be sure to check out Beauty Brands at their newest location in Shawnee Mission, I promise it is worth the drive! This is just one of the bargains I bought on Saturday! I was so impressed with the selection that I picked up two! Beauty Brands and Beauty Rooms go together perfectly and I can’t wait to head back in for more pampering!
